Check Out Our Fun Racing Formats For Your Group!

This format is ideal for groups of 8-12 people, and really suits groups that are competitive in nature. The group will all race together at the same time. Each racer will get a 5 minute practice session to learn the track. After practice, each driver does a 5 minute qualifying session to lay down their fastest lap and determine their starting position for their feature race. After a short break to compare scoresheets, grab a drink, and maybe do a little smack talk. The racers will be put on the starting grid in order of qualifying. The feature race is a 14 minute race to the checkered flag that is scored by finishing position. Groups can choose either a standing or paced rolling start. When the race is done, the winner gets a victory lap, and then the group heads for the victory circle, where the top three finishers take their place on the podium.
This format is ideal for groups of 8-30 people. Groups of up to 10 racers will take their turn on the track in 8 minute races. This format will bring out the competitor in everyone, but is favored by groups that tend to be more social and just out to have fun. Races are scored by individual fast lap for each session. This is a great format for groups that may have a mix of hard-core competitors and more casual drivers as some drivers may choose to do more racing, and some may want less. Scoring is based on individual lap times. Drivers may be on the track with different people from their group each time they race. Want to up the level of competition? You can add a feature race to let your fastest drivers race in a finale scored by finishing position. Each of the sessions leading up to this feature race will serve as a qualifying session – and we will crown one overall winner. Top 3 finishers will be recognized on the podium, and of course we have to take the obligatory group photo!
This format is ideal for groups larger than 30. It is just like the Lap Attack, but with shorter 5 minute races. This helps keep the action going by having more frequent races, and shorter waits to get in the next race. The shorter race format ensures that everyone in the group gets plenty of chances to race. Groups of up to 10 racers will take their turn on the track in 5 minute races. Larger groups will appreciate the energy on track in in pit lane and still have time to socialize, cheer on a co-worker, or challenge a coworker to the next race. You can still add a feature race for the fastest drivers, or mix things up and do a “Driving Miss Daisy” race where the slowest in your group can have their own race!
This format is great for groups that want to draw teams together. It works best for groups larger than 18, but can be adapted for any size group. Want to get people working together? This may be your format! It is run very similar to the lap attack and time attack, but we add a team scoring element. Each team will be scored by combining the individual scores from each team member for a final score. The teams can be chosen ahead of time, or built by performance in a qualifying race. Watch the energy as your folks cheer on their teammates! Lots of groups will make team shirts, hats or other swag so there is no question what team they belong to.
This format is perfect for groups of 18-30 that want to experience the ultimate team race. This format pits teams of drivers against other teams in a longer single race. The race starts at the green flag and runs until the first kart takes the checkered flag – but there is a twist! Teams must make pit stops for driver changes throughout the race and the clock keeps running. Pit strategy is as important as fast laps. A quick pit stop can help make up ground, while a mistake in pit lane or on track can put your team behind. If your group works in teams already, or you want to foster higher levels of cooperation for cross functional teams, an endurance race may be for you. This format will bring team members closer, and the team members will be engaged during the entire race as they cheer their teammates on to victory. Each team will be assigned a color, and given a pit board sign so they can call drivers in for pits stops based on their strategy. Add team shirts to match the team colors and trophies and you have the ultimate team building experience.
